Dear Chefs,

I learned to cook as a small child and when we were married my wife and I shared the kitchen duties equally,  but she was the family bread-maker. While I baked countless biscuits, cakes, cookies, and pies (my quest for the perfect crust goes on!), I’d never tried my hand at bread. After we split up, going without fresh bread was not an option, so I made a point of adding those skills to my culinary repertoire.

 

A few years of using, and cleaning, a common dough whisk motivated me to invent a better tool. Considerable time was devoted to searching for a capable manufacturer, with dozens saying it was impossible with current wire-forming technology (these utensils ended up being two of the most complex shapes ever created by that industry). Testing the original prototype revealed the mixing head was too enclosed for stiff, sticky, bread dough, so it was simplified to the more open MEGAWHISK3. However, the first design proved ideal for other tasks, and became the MEGAWHISK5. Four years and multiple changes and challenges later, they’re finally ready for bakers & cooks everywhere.
